Kris has a rare platelet disorder called storage pool disorder. There are many others which are also quite rare.
The most common bleeding disorders are Haemophilia A, Haemophilia B, and von Willebrands.
- Haemophilia A means you don’t have enough factor 8
- Haemophilia B means you don’t have enough factor 9
- von Willebrands means you don’t have enough von Willebrands factor
But there are lots of other bleeding disorders that many people don't know the names of. This is because not many people have them.
Believe it or not, Bernard Soulier and Glanzmanns Thrombasthenia are also bleeding disorders!
